Artificial turf is a new type of goods very popular in recent years, more and more places began to lay a lot of artificial grass sports venues. According to the information, these years, artificial grass accounted for 33%, 43%, 18% of the global market share of North America, Europe, and Asia will reach a double-digit increase, also including the need to rapidly increase in China. The following points can be considered when selecting an advantageous artificial turf.

l Basic performance of artificial turf

l Artificial turf production process

Basic properties of artificial turf

Anti-aging additives are added to the production of artificial turf grass yarn, which is also an important part of artificial grass yarn. Under the set environmental conditions of temperature and humidity, the artificial turf is irradiated by Omni Machine WOM simulating normal solar UV rays, i.e. artificial simulated climate for a set period of time, to observe and test the change of color and related physical properties of the artificial turf, called artificial turf anti-aging performance test.

Under normal climatic conditions, artificial turf with strong anti-aging performance does not fade easily and does not become brittle easily, and artificial turf with strong anti-aging performance is more durable and stable in color, rarely drops grass seedlings, and has a longer service life.

The color fastness of the grass is the degree of fading under the action of external factors (friction, washing, rain, exposure, light, etc.) during use or processing, and is an important indicator for evaluating artificial turf.

After sunlight exposure, there is obvious fading and uneven color fading, which indicates that the color fastness of the grass wire does not meet the requirements.

Abrasion resistance and DTEX value of the grass are interlinked and are one of the important indicators of artificial turf, the higher the Dtex value of the turf, the better the abrasion resistance of the turf.

The higher the Dtex number of the turf, the better the wear resistance of the turf. By running the nail roller on the Lisport test equipment back and forth on the artificial turf samples, simulating the normal use, athletes wearing spiked sneakers on the turf, after reaching a certain time period, to test and evaluate the wear of the turf. The artificial turf with good abrasion resistance is more durable and has a longer service life.

Artificial turf production process

Artificial turf is divided into the injection-molded artificial turf and woven artificial turf according to the production process.

Injection-molded artificial turf adopts the injection molding process, in which the plastic granules are extruded in the mold at one time and the lawn is bent with the bending technology so that the grass blades are equally spaced and regularly arranged in equal amounts, and the height of the grass blades is completely uniform. It is suitable for kindergarten, sports fields, balconies, greening, etc.

The woven lawn is made of synthetic fibers imitating grass blades, which are implanted in the woven base fabric and coated with a fixed coating on the back for artificial turf on sports fields, recreation grounds, golf courses, garden ground, and green ground.
